NVIDIA has released an update to Canvas — a free application for artists. Now Canvas has an integrated GauGAN2 model that generates high-resolution images and details based on an outline or text description.
In NVIDIA Canvas, users draw the simplest sketches of shapes and objects on canvas, and then the model replaces them with highly realistic textures such as water, grass, snow and mountains.
The application is available to users with NVIDIA GTX graphics processor. Compared to the previous version of the application, the resolution of drawings has increased by 4 times. New materials and textures have also been added (including straw, flowers, soil and bushes).
These new materials can be further customized with nine preset image styles. Users also have the opportunity to upload their own images as background images and then finish drawing objects on top of them.
